Draculaura was repainted by me

:star: Repainting a doll is a hard work, and I don't usually keep most of the original character's features because I'm not painting a new version of those characters, I'm changing the doll's face and personality completely to make them unique and different. I mean, to me it would be a waste of time and effort to work hard in a repaint if I'm going to do exactly the same painting the doll already had, at least when it's about a personal repainting and not a commission. :) :star:

Do you remember Angel? I really never completely liked her first repaint, and now I'm improving with the eyes I decided to paint her again, and geez I totally love her now! for some reason she reminds me a little to Scarlett Johanson, and that's good because she's a great actress :p
I feel each new repaint I do is the best, I mean better than all the previous one, and that makes me feel really proud^^
Maybe her eyebrows give her a little fierce look instead of the total sweeteness she had before, but I don't think that's really bad.
After this I'm thinking about sell repainted dolls again, what do you think? I couldn't sell them for less than $80, so I have to be sure these repaintings worth it.

feel free to critique to help me get better, but please be respectful with my work! I put a lot of time and effort on this :)

I definitely see progress here! Here and there lines of eyelashes are a bit wobbly on her right eye, but it's much, much better than it was two months ago, when I last commented on your work.

Wow! I've been watching you on and off for a while, even though I've never been a fan of BJD or dolls in general...but I just have to say I think you have improved a lot, and this doll just shocked me with how good you've gotten :) I always look forward to seeing the new ones you've painted and to see how you're getting better each time! You're really inspirational in how you keep pursuing this passion. Don't stop, and keep improving ^__^

This is an improvement on the other one for sure. One thing I noticed right away is that one eye is bigger than the other. You can see more of the white and the lashes are less straight and a bit thicker and sloppier(this is on the left eye). Pretty much everything else is lovely.

She's such a darling! I love how you've repainted her eyes. I can definitely see improvement with the overall symmetry as well as painting technique. The eyeshadow is really nice, as are the eyebrows, and of course I love how you've painted the lips. She definitely looks like a little angel! :)

This repaint I think is one of the best ones you've done so far! But as kumix said below, I think that you have the talent to do different facial expressions with your dolls. I think they would bring them to life more. But really, that's all up to you! Do what you want to do with your dolls, and if you want to keep doing what you're doing, awesome! ^_^

Your face painting skills are fantastic! They definitely look more real than the store version! However, all of your face paints don't have any characteristic or any sort of contrasting difference between their facial appearance. To me, it's like your face paints all look like the same person but with different hair, skin, eye color, etc... You truly need to get out of your comfort zone and try new shading techniques and eyebrow designs to give your characters more emotion. All of them have your typical super blushed cheeks, shy, timid, facial eyebrows, and the same pink lips. To bring dolls to life, try new expression like sassy, angry, sorrowful, even downright jolly. Try applying new lip colors, or blush/shading colors! But do not keep doing the same, bashful look you give on all of your dolls. Because not all Monster High characters are like that. Experiment with different expressions and colors! I absolutely adore your face paints!

well, if you look closely all my repaints have different eyes and eyebrows, but I agree them all have similar expressions because I always try to paint them cute.
as I just said in other comment I accepted your challenge and I repainted my Spectra tonight, I think you will like her :D I tried to give her a sexy-agressive look
