Abbey was repainted by me

:star: Repainting a doll is a hard work, and I don't usually keep most of the original character's features because I'm not painting a new version of those characters, I'm changing the doll's face and personality completely to make them unique and different. I mean, to me it would be a waste of time and effort to work hard in a repaint if I'm going to do exactly the same painting the doll already had, at least when it's about a personal repainting and not a commission. :) :star:

Another repaint of Abbey, but in this case is a new Abbey I bought last friday as present for :iconamber-honey:
she's an incredibly talented artist and she helped me a lot with my repaints giving me a lot of good tips and searching the materials I needed with me. It doesn't matter how busy she is, she always have time for me and my silly questions, and I know that's a very rare attitude in good artist, because most of them are extremely rude ><
if I'm improving fast is mainly thanks to her, and as I already told her, a simple "thanks" isn't enough to thank her properly, so I bought a new MH doll, I repainted it and I'll send it to her home^^

and now about the repaint itself:
I don't like when eyebrows don't match hair, but I know she likes cold colors and I just had an impulse, also that violet is only the base, because the little hair are white.
The eyes could have been more symetric, but I really love them, specially the iris  and the eyelashes! at last I'm improving drawing eyelashes!
and this time I used much less blushing with a softer pink tone, and I like it more than before. It's not that llamative, but I guess that's how it must be

feel free to critique to help me get better, but please be respectful with my work! I put a lot of time and effort on this :)

This is Serena's friend Amy, she wanted me to go through her messages and everything and reply and comment but I still have to use my own opinion. I like seeing the dolls you do make-up for. It seems like it would be difficult putting make-up on a doll though. Amazing work!

Looking at your other repaints I can see how you've improved and changed especially when looking at the other Abbey. I think you should consider doing blush in other colors when the skintone is this blueish. That's just a suggestion though but it would be interesting to see how you can make other colors work.

I saw some comments about using other color for blushing, but every time I imagine it I don't like how it would look :s

Well it's your work and you should do what you feel gives your repaints the best possible look. So, keep doing what you're doing.
