Meowlody was repainted by me

It was so hard to get this doll, and I really love her and her beautiful cat face. I hate how she came with all that factory makeup, she and Purrsephone are the only MH I think they are ugly with the factory makeup.
Sooo at last I drew her eyes only with pencils and not brushes! see what I said about I do them better this way? it's so much more comfortable for my hands, because they shake out of control if I try to draw eyes with brushes.
This time I put more time on the eyelashes, still they aren't perfect but they look better than the previous ones.
My only complains about this repaintings are:
maybe I could did the lips more pink
and the eyebrows should be more symetric
but I think this is the best repainting I've ever done, I feel SO proud of it!!!

feel free to critique to help me get better, but please be respectful with my work! I put a lot of time and effort on this :)

I've been watching your repaints appear on the front page for a while now, and I always eagerly await the next to see your improvements, and this certainly doesn't disappoint. You really should feel proud, I think this is your best one yet. I think the real improvement here is your eyes, they're really nice, and much more pronounced and confident in the lines and shape. The color is also a really nice choice. These doll repaints are very interesting and a wonderful art form. I look forward to seeing you continue to progress, and congratulations on your work and success. :)

Those eyes look great! And I really like the eyelashes! Each repaint you do gets better and better, and is really inspiring me to maybe give one a try myself someday.

If you don't mind me asking, what kind of pencils are you using?

this is for :iconladowska: because she's incredibly mature and she blocked me after posting an unrespectful comment to this great artist T_T

"we asked for it? 0_0
in my case, all I said is you were rude, and she doesn't need to be like AndrejA to be good. Do I deserve rudeness for that? wow...
I know because you started good with an apologize, but then you get sarcastic, like "I'm really sorry, but I'm too proud to just admit it without punching one more time"
you could just explain what you really mean from the beggining instead of turning agressive with people, that was what made you look worse"

the pencil does come out much smoother and nicer than when you use a brush. you should consider using a very thin gloss on just the eye, I think it might really show off what a good job you've done with the pencil!

Oh ok. I know some types of gloss look bad but I didn't know you disliked all types of gloss. I had a matte gloss in mind that resembles the moisture of a real eye.

to be honest you can learn a lot from :iconandreja: shes the master of repainting.

yeah, I'm always watching her videos and photos, and I learned a lot of techniques from her :D
I'm always glad to get constructive criticism, I read all the drama happened today and I have to agree it was kinda offensive when I first saw this comment, but I guess (or I hope) it wasn't your intention :)

You can see on her profile that she already respects Andreja so much (she links to her work). I'm more than sure she's doing all she can to work toward being better, especially since she uses some techniques that I've noticed Andreja use exclusively before (like gloves to cover the hair).

I can't understand why someone would waste their time to be so rude. I took a look at your gallery, admittedly, because people whom say backhanded comments like these are usually very young. But I'm appalled to know that a good artist can have such little understanding of the process of getting better at one's craft. I hope you apologize for your insensitivity.

It's the way you phrased it and the fact that just a short look into her profile would have given you enough insight to immediately know your comment is simply redundant to something she already knows.

Before you backpedal and give me a copy-pasted response, you should know that your comment wasn't constructive and hardly passed off as advice. It's not incredulous, so no need for sarcasm.

definitelly rude
this girl put a lot of effort on each repaint she does, and the fact she's not as experienced as AndrejA doesn't mean she's bad!
I agree with :iconanticrime90:, neither I know what you are trying to say with that comment, but it looks really disrespectful for her and her art

that was rude.
if you read some comments from her previous repaintings you'll se she's already learning from :iconandreja:, but also they have different styles, and she doesn't have to be like her to be good.
I don't know what you mean really with your comment, but from outside it looks like "hey, your art is a shit, go being like someone who has years of experience doing repaintings"

really? well, you was and still are.
It's how you wrote it, like this artist's work were a waste of time of something. That was rude and disrespectful, and then you are just fake apologizing to everyone with cheap copy-pasted comments just because you are at bay. Please be mature and think before commenting, and if you apologize do it sincerely and to the artist

well, copied from where? from what i said. you all said the same so you all got the same answer. i am rude to you because you asked for it. the comment wasnt directed to you. how do you know my apologizes are fake? this girl is on my watch list for some reason. she is getting better with every work she does and she knows it. she also knows she can and will be better, so whats wrong in recommending her a good artist that she can look at? i m sorry i dont read every journal of a person before i leave a comment. its you raging about nothing, trying to be a christ for poor humantity, "i ll defend her because she needs me and cant talk for herself!"... you are not helping her i'd say. its sad that some people are not prepared for criticism, i bet she is better than you. seems like someone else here is immature. and speaks without being asked to.

I can't believe you actually said that. I through only noob and un-talented people on DA post such childish and hurtful comments on other people's art.
So, because we are telling you to be respectful with an artist you just despised that means we deserve a copy-pasted sarcastic apologize? you, my dear girl, need to get down off your cloud. With that kind of conduct you only are losing people's respect.
Nobody is an expert artist from the beggining, and I guess it took you a lot of time to draw how you do right now. Then why were you so cruel? have you already forgotten how hard is to start creating your own art?
sad, very sad to see good artist acting like you :(
