With or Without lines?

If you like Monster High Dolls come join

I started painting those white lines on the monster high's lips to make them look more realistic and light, but lately I've read comments saying they look dry that way. The first comments like that were really rude so I didn't pay much attention to them because they seems to be just haters, but then people kept saying the same with good manners and I started worrying about it, because those were real and respectul critiques, so I did this.
I want to make the lips looks sexy and juicy, so I don't like the idea of them looking dry >< should I go back to my previous technique, without those lines? I tried to make them thinner, but it's so damn hard in such little dolls. Don't be afraid of give me your opinion as long as you are respecful with my work, remember critiques doesn't mean free insulting
